Justice Erin Peradotto of Buffalo, NY; cheerleader for Attorney Misfits
The state of New York provided Erin Marie Peradotto with a law license in 1985 after she graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo Law School.
In 2003, Erin Peradotto succeeded in duping the voters into electing her as a Justice on the State Supreme Court. FYI: Supreme Court Justices in New York are trial court judges and do not actually sit on the highest court in the state.
In 2006, then Gov. George Pataki was duped into appointing Erin as an Appellate Judge for the 4th Division in Rochester. Erin didn’t get this appointment because she was the most qualified jurist or lawyer in the area, she got it because she had proven that she was a reliable and trusted lackey for the political hacks in Albany.
Justice Peradotto also served on the State of New York’s Grievance Committee for the 8th Judicial District. While so acting, she presided over a case involving the misconduct of attorney Billie Holliday of Rochester, who was basically charged with being a serial tax cheat. Even though it was proven that Billie Holliday had cheated on his state and federal taxes for 15 years, Justice Peradotto didn’t think such egregious misconduct warranted that he be permanently disbarred. In fact, she voted to punish Billie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
This is a prime example of why the vast majority of New Yorkers have total contempt for the manner in which Attorney Misfits are punished.
