Attorney Jeremy King of Greenville, NC; ethical elf

The state of Nevada presented Jeremy Clayton King with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from the  University of Indian School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Jeremy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Initiated a wire transfer of entrusted funds without verifying the instructions with the lending institution
  • Wiring instructions Jeremy followed were fraudulent
  • Jeremy did not supervise his nonlawyer staff in connection with the wire transfer
  • As a result of the wire transfer, $124,160.43 was wired to a fraudster

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Jeremy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2023), Jeremy practices his so-called brand of law with Lanier King & Paysour in Greenville, North Carolina.
