Attorney Scott DiClaudio of Philadelphia; repeat offender

The state of Pennsylvania presented Scott DiClaudio with a law license in 1990.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Scott guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to provide competent legal services (moron)
  2. Client’s appeal dismissed because Scott missed a briefing date (Dufus)
  3. Made false and misleading statements during proceedings before ODC
  4. Failed to act with reasonable diligence in representing client (slacker)
  5. Failed to keep clients reasonably informed of the status of their legal matters
  6. Failed to give reasonable notice to client that he was withdrawing from their cases
  7. Failed to promptly return client files after being discharged
  8. Failed to return unearned fees (cheater)
  9. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
This wasn’t Scott’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. In 2003 Scott received a complimentary informal admonishment for failing to provide competent legal services in regards to an appellate matter (same as No. 2 above) In 2008, Scott received another complimentary informal admonishment for making false and misleading statements during ODC proceedings and for failing to provide a client with a written fee agreement (See No. 3 above).

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Scott by gifting him with a stayed 3-month suspension of his law license. In reality, the comedians on the Supreme Court didn’t really punish Scott at all.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Scott practices law at Two Pen Center 15th & JFK Blvd. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

And lastly, Scotty doesn’t have any legal malpractice insurance. Therefore, when he screws another client they won’t be able to collect anything. This is the kind of clown (my apologies to clowns) that you want to avoid if you need legal advice and live in the Philadelphia area.
