Attorney Lynne Peace of Lutherville, MD; ethical gremlin

The state of Maryland presented Lynne Davis Peace with a law license in 2007 after she graduated from George Washington University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Lynne guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to safekeep client funds in an attorney trust account
• Failed to comply with attorney trust account record-keeping
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to comply with prohibited transaction requirements
• Made improper cash withdrawals from her attorney trust account
• Withdrew funds from an attorney trust account when the disbursement created a negative balance
• Maintained negative client ledger balances
• Negligently misappropriated [stole] client funds
• Failed to perform monthly reconciliations of her attorney trust account
• Failed to maintain client ledgers

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Lynne by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2023), Lynne practices her so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Lynne Peace at 9 Ridgely Road in Lutherville, Maryland.
