Judge Mary Barglind of Iron Mountain, MI; imbecilic slacker

The state of Michigan provided Mary Brouillette Berglund with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from Marquette University School of Law.

The Judicial Tenure Commission found Mary guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failure to diligently discharge her administrative responsibilities
• Failed to maintain professional competence in judicial administration (imbecile)
• Failed in her responsibilities to other judges and court officials
• Failed to promptly dispose of the business of the court
• Engaged in irresponsible conduct which eroded public confidence in the judiciary
• Failed to respect and observe the law
• Failed to conduct herself at all times in a manner which would enhance the public's confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary
• Engaged in conduct clearly prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to establish, maintain, enforce and personally observe high standards of conduct
• Failed to bear in mind that the judicial system is for the benefit of the litigant and the public, not the judiciary

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Mary by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension from the bench without pay.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Mary continues to dispense her so-called brand of jurisprudence as a 41^st Circuit Court Judge in Detroit, Michigan.
