Attorney Pamela McLean of Woodbridge, MD; ethical troll

The state of Maryland presented Pamela Anne McLean with a law license in 2000 after she graduated from George Washington University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Pam guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Disclosed confidential client information
  • Represented a client when her professional judgment on behalf of the client will be or reasonably may be
  • adversely affected by her responsibilities to or interests in a third party or her own personal
  • interests
  • While representing a mother in a child custody matter, Pam disclosed several specific concerns about her client’s fitness as a parent to the guardian ad litem, to the judge, and to opposing counsel. Despite her concerns
  • Did not move to withdraw from the representation until the day of trial

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Pam by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 60-day suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Pam.

As we speak (ca. March 2023), Pam practices her so-called brand of law at 13569 Adrian Court in Woodbridge, Maryland.
