Attorney Leah Macia of Charleston, WV; ethical troll

The state of West Virginia presented Leah Perry Macia with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from the University of West Virginia School of Law.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Leah guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Lied to court that she had obtained a referral for a bed to receive inpatient treatment at the Prestera Treatment Center for her client
  • Knowingly made a false statement to a tribunal
  • Commited a criminal act adversely reflecting on her fitness to practice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Leah by gifting her with a complimentary 3-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Leah practices his so-called brand of law with Perrylaw LLC DBA Leah Perry Macia, Attorney at Law at 1527 Virginia Street in Charleston, West Virginia.

CAUTION: Leah does not carry legal malpractice insurance
