Justice of the Peace Helen Mackay of England; ethical troll

The Law Society provided Helen Mackay with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from the University of Essex School of Law.

Chief Justice Lord Burnet of Maldon and Lord Chancellor Dominic Raab found Helen guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Conduct fell below the standards expected of a member of the Judiciary
  • Made offensive comments to a candidate during his interview for the magistracy
  • Made comments regarding a protected characteristic under the Equalities Act 2010, which went against the guidance given to magistrates in the Equal Treatment Bench Book
  • Initially failed to acknowledge the shortfall of her actions, deflected matters onto others and implied that she had not received appropriate training

In a lame effort at levity, Helen laughingly blamed her misconduct because she had not received appropriate training on how to behalf ethically. Obviously, Helen missed her calling as an Aspiring Standup Comedian.

The Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice punished Helen by gifting her with complimentary formal advice. It’s my understanding that this type of punishment can be very, very painful.

As we speak (ca. January 2023), Shirley continues to dispense her so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Justice of the Peace in Doncaster, United Kingdom.
