Attorney Nelson R. Boylan of Fresno; repeat performer

The state of California provided Nelson Ross Boylan with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, which is a 3rd tier law school that caters to losers that couldn’t get accepted at mainstream schools like USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley or Stanford.

The State Bar Court found Nelson guilty of misconduct on at least three occasions.

Nelson’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

Nelson was employed as corporate counsel for two companies owned by Gary Bandy. When Bandy separated from his wife, he employed an attorney in the state of Washington who was associated with an individual who conducted electronic surveillance and illegal wiretapping of Bandy’s wife.

After Nelson met with Bandy and his Washington attorney, he advised Bandy to destroy the tapers and pay off the individual who made them. In so acting, Nelson advised Bandy to engage in criminal conduct that violated the Washington criminal code.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Nelson by gifting him with a 30-day suspension of his law license.

In this instance, Nelson was found guilty of failing to perform legal services competently (moron) and for failing to retain client files.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Nelson by gifting him with a 60-day suspension of his law license.

Nelson’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

For his 3rd trip to the Misfit Tree, the Bar Court found Nelson guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to perform legal services of any value for his client
  2. Failed to retain files related to his client’s legal matters
  3. His law firm was accused by the Attorney General of engaging in unfair business practices
Due to Nelson’s conduct in representing clients as to debt management and/or negotiations of debts, the State of California permanently enjoined him from operating a debt management or debt negotiation service or from engaging in credit repair activities.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Nelson by gifting him with a complimentary stayed two-year suspension of his law license. In truth, the comedians at the Bar Court didn’t really punish Nelson for his misconduct.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Nelson practices at 2377 West Shaw Avenue in Fresno, California.
