Attorney Jeffrey A. Long of Lake Oswego, OR; repeat offender

The state of Oregon provided Jeffrey A. Long with a law license in 1986.

The Oregon State Bar found Jeffrey guilty of the following misconduct:
  1. Failed to deposit client funds in trust account
  2. Failed to maintain complete records of client funds in trust account
  3. Failed to render an appropriate [accurate] account of client funds
  4. Engaged in blatant conflict of interest in representing multiple clients with conflicting interests
Jeffrey was employed to represent Brian Napp and Sheilah Horman in connection with a federal criminal investigation of alleged computer fraud and theft of trade secrets. Napp paid Jefrey a $10,000 retainer pursuant to an oral agreement. Jeffrey did not provide Napp with any accounting as to what he did with the $10,000 and/or what fees he was actually entitled too.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Russell by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license

This wasn’t Jeffrey’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. Several years earlier Jeffrey was guilty of misconduct involving (a) failure to return unearned fees to client in timely manner, and (b) bouncing at least one check.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Jeffrey practices law at 4040 SW Douglas Way in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
