Attorney Rebecca Murray of Oak Park, IL; ethical troll

The state of Illinois presented Rebecca Suzanne Murray with a law license in 2013 after she graduated from St. Louis University School of Law.

FYI: This isn’t Becky’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. She previously received a complimentary censure for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Office of Disciplinary Commission found Becky guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Took a $2,500 retainer to represent a client in a civil matter but did not pursue the matter
• Failed to communicate with her client
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Becky!)
• Failed to refund her unearned fee of $2,500

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Becky by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Becky practices her so-called brand of law with The Law Offices of Rebecca Murray at 805 Lake Street in Oak Park, Illinois.
