Judge Jay Tate of Oberlin, KS; moronic slacker

The Kansas Commission on Judicial Conduct found Jay guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
  • Failed to perform judicial/administrative duties competently (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to cooperate with other judges and court officials in the administration of court business
  • Failed to hear and decide matters that came before the court

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the comedians sitting on the Judicial Conduct Commission punished Jay by issuing him a cease-and-desist order.

In truth the comedians on the Conduct Commission didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jay.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Jay practices his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a 17th Judicial District Court magistrate judge in Oberlin, Kansas.
