Attorney Michael T. Miranda of Denver; convicted felon

The state of Colorado presented Michael Thomas Miranda with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Denver Law School.

The Disciplinary Board found Michael guilty of the following misconduct.

Several years ago, Michael drove his car while intoxicated, causing the death of Kristopher Mansfield, a U.S. Air Force veteran who had just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. Michael was convicted of vehicular homicide, and was sentenced to eight years’ in prison, followed by five years of mandatory parole.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary two-year suspension of his law license in 2007.

Unbelievably, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Surpeme Court had the chutzpah to reinstate Michael’s law license in March 2012 even though the convict is still on parole. What a joke!

The cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Board regarding Michael’s application to be reinstated laughingly stated that he had proved by clear and convincing evidence his fitness to practice law.

How wonderful it must be for Coloradoans to know that there is yet another convicted felon practicing law compliments of the comics sitting on the Supreme Court and the Hearing Board.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Michael practices law at 218 Madison Street in Denver, Colorado.
