Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner
Sen. Rob Portman represents the folks in Ohio. During George W’s term as president, Rob was Bush’s budget director. He is now mentioned as a possible Vice Presidential candidate for Mitt Romney.
As a possible running mater for Romney, Rob thought it was time to board the Bullshit Train. During a conference call with reporters on June 14, Rob said, “Well first of all, we are not losing government jobs. If you look at the overall net jobs in the federal government, we’ve actually seen an increase in federal jobs, and pretty substantial.”
Statistics from the federal government clearly prove that Rob’s statement that the increase in federal government jobs has been “pretty substantial” is pure bunk. There was a temporary increase by the Census Bureau that conducts a census every ten years regardless of who is sitting in the Whitehouse. However, it is patently clear that Rob wasn’t taking into consideration this temporary blip on the job increase. In fact, he intentionally spewed forth his BS in order to make the listeners believe that Obama is cheerfully increasing the national debt by substantially increasing the number of federal employees.
It would appear that Rob is hell-bent on proving to Mitt Romney that he can spew forth just as much BS as Mitt does in his desire to secure the VP nomination.
Of course it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Rob is prone to lying since he’s a lawyer and his lips were moving when he made these false statements.
Congrats Rob; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most aspiring Bullshitters; you are far too humble.
