Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner
Hardly a day goes by without Mitch spewing forth a healthy dose of bullshit. In an ongoing effort to cement his status as one of America’s Premier Bullshitters and Standup Comedians, Mitt felt it was time to again go to bat for his millionaire and billionaire comrades.
During an interview on CBS This Morning that aired on June 19, 2012, Mitt noted that more than two-thirds of the money the government collects in taxes comes from the wealthiest ten percent (10%) of taxpayers. Well Mr. Wizard that’s because they earn two-thirds of all of the income in the U.S. of A.
Mitch then donned his favorite crying towel and lamented that 45 to 50 percent of Americans pay no income tax at all. Again Mr. Wizard, that’s because most of them earn $10 an hour or less; therefore, according to the tax code that you’ve endorsed, they don’t owe any taxes.
Apparently, bighearted Mitch prefers that those earning $30,000 or less begin to pay taxes so that his millionaire and billionaire friends can get yet another 10 or 20 percent tax reduction. And this doesn’t count Mitch’s demand that the tax rate on capitol gains be reduced to zero, thereby eliminating any tax on American Patriots earning $3 billion a year or more.
This gives a new meaning to the term “trickle down economics.” I wonder how many of Mitch’s constituents in Kentucky earn $5 million a year or more.
Congrats Mitch; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s Premier Bullshitters; you are far too humble.
