The state of New York presented Japeth Nthautha Matemu with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from the University of Nairobi School of Law.

The 1^st Appellate Division Grievance Committee found Japeth guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in deficient representation of immigration client
• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee by gifting Japeth with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2022), Japeth practices his so-called brand of law with the Matemu Law Office PC at 5650 Six Forks Road in Raleigh, North Carolina.
