Attorney Anne Veneziano of Pepper Pike, OH; tax cheat The state of Ohio presented Anne Deborah Veneziano with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from Case Western University Law School in Cleveland.
The Lake County Bar Association Grievance Committee found Anne guilty of the following misconduct
Anne’s Hyperbolic (BS) “Ignorance of the law” Defense
 Anne had the audacity to testify that she had no knowledge of an employer’s obligation to withhold employee compensation for income tax purposes. She also claimed she was “excusably ignorant” and should only receive a complimentary reprimand for her misconduct.
Anne’s “ignorance of the law claim” is laughable at best. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in social work, was enrolled in a master’s degree program in tax law, spent four years in medical school, in addition to her law degree. Moreover, her husband was a certified public accountant (CPA) who assisted in funning the financial affairs of her law office. Fortunately, the committee didn’t buy into Anne’s “excusable ignorance” defense.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Anne by gifting her with a stayed one-year suspension of her law license. In truth, Anne didn’t receive any real punishment from the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.
As we speak (ca. June 2012) Anne practices law at 2440 SOM Center Road in Pepper Pike, Ohio which is a suburb of Cleveland.
