Attorney Martha Ann Chapman of Orlando, FL; ethical misfit

The state of Florida provided presented Martha Ann Chapman with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from the University of Florida School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Melissa guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide a client with an accounting upon demand detailing how she had spent the retainer he paid for the legal work performed
  • Failed to adequately communicate with client after case settled
  • Failed to provide the client with all the settlement funds he was owed in a timely manner
  • Failed to maintain her trust account in substantial minimum compliance with the Rules Regulating the Florida Bar

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Melissa by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2022), Melissa practices his so-called brand of law with Giasi Law PA at 400 North Ashley Drive in Tampa, Florida.
