Judge Anthony Mariani of Pittsburgh, PA; ethical troll

The state of Pennsylvania presented Claude Castro with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

The Abolitionist Law Center along with Juana Sanders have filed ethics complaints against Judge Mariani accusing him of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Improperly use of probation detainers for purpose of keeping defendants in jail
• Defendants under Tony’s supervision are punished for mere allegations
• Tony orders defendants detained for months at minimum
• Many defendants must endure Tony’s verbal abuse in open court before there is any hope for release
• Tony kept Gerald Thomas incarcerated at the Alleghany County Jail (ACJ) (in solitary confinement) for nearly a year prior to his death, based on charges that were the product of illegal police conduct, and were eventually dropped

The Abolitionist Law Center’s law firm’s court watching program announced it has filed 62 judicial misconduct complaints against Judge Anthony Mariani of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Tony by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), Tony continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as an Alleghany County Court  of Common Pleas Judge in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
