Attorney Michelle Charles of Belle Chasse, LA; tax cheat

The state of Louisiana presented Michelle Andrica Charles with a law license in 2007 after she graduated the University of Oklahoma School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Michelle guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to file a state income tax return
• Neglected a client legal matter
• Failed to communicate with a client
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Michelle by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 3-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Michelle practices her so-called brand of law at 301 Main Street in Belle Chasse, Louisiana in May 2023.
