Attorney Stephen LaCommare of Howell, MI; thieving slacker
The state of Michigan presented Stephen LaCommare with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Michigan State University School of Law.
The Ingham County Hearing Panel #6 found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Engaged in misconduct in his representation of four separate clients in their various legal matters

Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

Failed to keep client informed of status of matter

Engaged in conduct that was contrary to justice, ethics, honesty, or good morals

Failed to promptly comply with client information requests

Failed to take reasonable steps to protect his clients' interests upon termination of representation

Failed to refund any advance payment of fees that had not been earned (cheater)

Engaged in conduct that involved dishonesty, fraud, deceit, misrepresentation

Misused his IOLTA account by paying his personal expenses

Engaged that exposed the legal profession or the courts to obloquy, contempt, censure, or reproach
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Michigan Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension his law license effective March 2022, ordered he pay $4,250.00 in restitution to a former client (victim), and assessed investigate costs of $2,262.45.
As we speak (ca. June 2022), Stevie will resume his so-called brand of law with the Kizer Law Firm PC in Howell, Michigan in early 2024.
