Attorney Michael McArdle of Lawrence MA; cheating scammer

The state of Massachusetts presented Michael M. McArdle with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Suffolk University School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to adequately train and supervise his subordinates
• Demonstrated lack of insight into the nature and effects of his misconduct
• Entered into agreements with numerous clients, without obtaining their informed consent
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to return excessive/unearned fee upon being terminated
• Commingled unearned legal fees with personal funds
• Failed to deposit into a trust account fees that had been paid in advance
• Intentionally misused clients’ funds for personal purposes (cheater)
• Caused negative balances in trust accounts
• Failed to maintain required trust account records and reconciliations
• Charged clearly excessive contingent fees and/or monthly fees that had no relation to the work performed
• Charged non-refundable retainers or advance fees that had not been earned when paid
• Fees charged by Mikey violated state and federal regulations governing mortgage foreclosure relief services
• Mikey included in his fee agreements on foreclosure relief provisions wherein the client agreed to pay fees without giving informed consent to this so-called agreement

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 15-month suspension of his law license.   

And lastly, as one would suspect, Mikey fails to mention the above misconduct on his self-serving website at www.mcardlelaw.com.  Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law with McArdle Law & Associates PLLC at 280 Merrimack Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
