Attorney James Worthington II of McHenry, MD; dimwitted slacker

The state of Maryland presented James D. Worthington II with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the University of West Virginia School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (dimwit)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to maintain accurate attorney trust account records of deposits and disbursements of client funds
  • Failed to maintain client ledgers for all client matters
  • Failed to take any action to advance his client’s case
  • Failed to respond to his client’s requests for information

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Jimmy practices his so-called brand of law with Phillips Worthington & Allan PA at 25254 Garrett Highway in McHenry, Maryland.
