Attorney William A. Wright of Roseville, CA; greedy opportunist

The state of California provided William Armand Wright with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Lincoln University Law School, which is a 3rd tier school that accepts losers that couldn’t get accepted into mainstream schools such as UC Davis, UCLA, USC or Stanford.

The California Bar Court found William guilty of the following misconduct.

William was employed by a client (victim) to pursue civil actions against a women the client said commit ed various misdeeds 45 years earlier. The allegations included murder, kidnap, as well as the client’s belief the woman had stolen inventions from him and wrongfully obtained property belonging to his family. The client provided no evidence to Bill other than his written narratives.

Bill failed to advise the client (victim) that his actions would be barred by the statute of limitations, or that his claims lacked merit. There is not any statute of limitations in civil lawsuits that go on for 45 years.

In his zeal to rip-off a client who may have well been delusional, Billy charged him $9,200 for meetings over an eight-month period during which the client told stories about his inventions and the wrongs committed against his family.

The Bar Court said Billy had a duty to withdraw any representation of the client because it was known he had no valid claim. Of course Billy was only concerned about claiming hourly fees for acting as a listening board to someone who may have been demented.

As a consequence of his egregious misconduct, the advocates for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished William by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 90-day suspension of his law license. In truth, Billy Boy didn’t receive any real punishment for ripping off a client.

As one would expect, this wasn’t Billy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. The Bar Court gifted Billy with a complimentary public reproval for engaging in various misconduct two years earlier.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) William practices law 2200 Douglas Blvd. in Roseville, which is a suburb of Sacramento.
