Attorney Michael A. Baker of Torrance, CA; convicted thief

The state of California provided Michael Alan Baker with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.

The California State Bar Court found Michael guilty of the following misconduct.

Mike was found guilty of one count of felony mail fraud. He was sentenced to four months in federal prison and eight months at a community treatment center. He was also ordered to make $117,500 in restitution to the California Department of Conservation, Division of Recycling.

Mike the Moron committed fraud by redeeming recycled aluminum cans that had already been redeemed. Over a period of several months, Mike was an officer in a scrap metal business which purchased used aluminum cans, eligible to be redeemed from Mexico. When the supply dried up, Mike purchased used aluminum cans from a Los Angeles scar dealer and then sold the cans to an employee of his business’ Mexico operation.

Subsequently the cans were returned to Los Angeles and sold to recycling centers. Mike sold about 290,000 pounds of cans to three recycling centers.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Calfiornia Surpeme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary two-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Michael practices law at 1611 Crenshaw Blvd. in Torrance, California.

It should be comforting to the folks living in the greater Los Angeles area to know that there’s another convicted felon practicing law compliments of the comedians sitting on the Calfiornia Surpeme Court.
