Attorney Lori Petrone of Utica, NY; thief

The state of New York presented Lori Petrone with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Syracuse University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the 4th Judicial District found Lori guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on his fitness as a lawyer
  2. Misappropriating client funds (thief)
  3. Commingling client funds with personal funds
  4. Failing to maintain client funds in a special account
  5. Failed to maintain complete records of all client funds
  6. Failed to render appropriate accounting to clients of their funds
  7. Make withdrawals by bank transfer without prior written approval of the party entitled to the funds
As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the 4th Judicial District punished Lori by gifting her with a stayed one-year suspension of her law license. In other words, Lori didn’t receive any real punishment for his misconduct.

Is it any wonder that most New Yorkers have total contempt for the manner in which Attorney Misfits are disciplined?

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Lori practices law with Petrone & Petrone at 1624 Genesee Street in Utica, New York.
