Attorney Phillip Dixon of Greenville, NC; ethical dwarf

The state of North Carolina presented Phillip R. Dixon with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Phil guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to adequately supervise his paralegal
• Lack of supervision of his paralegal led to the theft of client entrusted funds
• Failed to make reasonable efforts to ensure paralegal’s conduct was compatible with Phil's professional obligations
• Failed to properly maintain and disburse entrusted funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, Grievance Committee punished Ralph with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Phil.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Phil practices his so-called brand of law with the Greenville Utilities Commission in Greenville, North Carolina.
