Attorney Joseph G. Makowski of Buffalo, NY; perjurer, ethical dwarf  The state of New York presented Joseph G. Makowski with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from SUNY Buffalo.
The Grievance Committee of the 4th th Judicial District found Joseph guilty of the following misconduct.
Joseph readily admitted that he lied under oath while serving as a Supreme Court Justice. He filed an affidavit in Hamburg Town Court that contained false and intentionally misleading statements in an effort to obtain a dismissal of criminal charges pending against a friend.
Because Attorney Misfits are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Joe was never criminally charged for felonious perjury.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the unabashed supporters of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the 8th Judicial District punished Joseph by gifting him with a complimentary six-month suspension of his law license.
The comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee said that filing a false affidavit intended to mislead a court constitutes serious misconduct. However, committing a felony wasn’t sufficiently serious to warrant Joe’s disbarment.
As we speak (ca. June 2012) Joseph practices law at 420 Franklin Street in Buffalo, New York.
