Attorney Carole Livsey of Rochester, NY; tax cheat

The state of New York presented Carole Cecilia Livsey with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from SUNY Albany.

The Grievance Committee of the 8th Judicial District found Carole guilty of the following misconduct in regard to three clients (victims).
  1. Engaged in conduct reflecting on her honesty and trustworthiness
  2. Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on his fitness to practice law
In late 2010, Carole was charged with criminal felonies of failing to pay her New York State income tax for five years. Because Attorney Felons in New York are held to a lower standard of conduct then everyone else, the prosecutor (another attorney) dismissed the felonies and allowed Carole to plead guilty to one misdemeanor count of failing to pay her taxes.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the unabashed supporters of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the 8th Judicial District punished Harvey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

The comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee granted Carole mitigation of her misconduct because she claimed she was suffering from health and financial problems, and was also caring for a ill relative. I wouldn’t have cheated on my taxes if it wasn’t for my health problems, said Carole.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Carole practices law with Carole C. Livsey, P.C. at 3284 Mount Read Road in Rochester, New York.
