Attorney Felipe Gomez of Chicago; bullying loser

The State of Illinois presented Felipe Nery Gomez with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel found Felipe guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Sent harassing and threatening emails to the opposing counsels from Barnes & Thornburg and Fox Rothschild
• Misconduct was extreme and egregious
• Misconduct caused lawyers to fear for their safety
• Sent an email that said, “You sir are despicable and unfit to practice law and I pledge to bring the full weight of justice down on you”
• Sent another email calling attorney “scum” and telling him to “resign and plea to FBI”
• Sent an email telling lawyer to “get ready for judgment day”

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Felipe by gifting him with a complimentary2-year suspension of his law license effective March 2022.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Felipe will resume his so-called brand of the law with the Law Office of Felipe Gomez at 1922 West Belmont Avenue in Chicago, Illinois in early 2024.
