Attorney Marc Mauser of New York City; slacker, loser
The state of New York presented Marc Richard Mauser with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from Tulane University School of Law.
The Grievance Committee found Marc guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.
-
Failed to properly supervise subordinates
-
After negotiating a settlement, Dick failed to file the necessary paperwork to collect the settlement, which delayed collection of the settlement funds for about two and a half years
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Client sent numerous emails to Marc that she wanted to speak to him personally, but he failed to comply with her requests
-
Failed to comply with client information requests
-
Failed to communicate with his client for 18 months
-
Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, deceit, or misrepresentation
-
Breached his duty to provide accurate information and repeatedly informed the mediator and/or his client that the personal injury settlement was pending Surrogate Court's approval when there was no petition before the court
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Marc by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
As we speak (ca. February 2022), Marc practices his so-called brand of law with William Schwitzer & Associates PC at 820 2nd Avenue in New York, New York.
