Attorney Joseph Weisberg of Toledo, OH; felon, tax cheat

The state of Ohio provided Thomas David Weisberg with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from the University of Toledo Law School.

The Toledo Bar Association found Joseph guilty of the following misconduct:
  1. Felony conviction for federal income tax evasion
  2. Commingling client funds with his personal funds
  3. Concealed assets from the IRS
  4. Engaged in conduct involving dishonest
As a result of his felony conviction, Joe was sentenced to five months in prison and five months of house arrest. Joe evaded federal income taxes for several years. Subsequently he entered into an agreement with the IRS to make installment payments for owed taxes.

In order to conceal the true amount of his assets from the IRS and to avoid seizure of those funds, Joey concealed those assets by keeping them in his client trust account. He then used the client trust to pay numerous and substantial personal expenses.

As a consequence of his felonious and dishonest conduct, the enablers for
Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Joseph by gifting him with a complimentary stayed two-year suspension of his law license. The truth is that Joey didn’t receive any real punishment for his criminal conduct.

It must be comforting to the good folks in the Toledo, Ohio area to know that the Supreme Court has allowed yet another convicted criminal to continue practicing law.

Joe’s Hyperbolic (BS) defense to Criminal acts

Joey claimed that the reason he cheated the IRS for several years was because he had incurred some gambling debts. Of course Joey never produced any of the persons he allegedly owed. This isn’t a legitimate excuse for engaging in felonious conduct!

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Joseph by gifting him with a stayed two-year suspension of his law license. In truth, Joseph received absolutely no real punishment for his misconduct.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Joseph practices law at 8331 Fossil Avenue, which is a suburb of Toledo.
