Attorney Carlos Garcia of Brentwood, NY; serial offender

The state of New York presented Carlos G. Garcia with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Law.

The 1st Appellate Division Grievance Committee found Carlos guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Neglected client legal matter
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness as a lawyer
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Carlos!)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Carlos’ First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received five (5) complimentary admonitions and four (4) complimentary letters of caution for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Carlos by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. January 2022), Carlos practices his so-called brand of law at 66 2nd Avenue in Brentwood, New York.
