Attorney Lisa Stancil of Baltimore, MD; dimwitted slacker

The state of Maryland presented Lisa Joi Stancil with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from American University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Lisa guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to competent representation (dimwit)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to adequately account for funds in her attorney trust account
• In a personal injury matter failed to promptly remit payment to third-party medical providers despite maintaining the funds in her attorney trust account

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Lisa by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
