Attorney Barbara Susman of Chicago; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Illinois presented Barbara Ann Susman with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from IIT Chicago-Kent School of Law.

FYI: Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent is ranked as the 149th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Office of Disciplinary Commission found Barbie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Barbie’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Pleadings she authorednecessitated additional court appearances and hearings

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Barbie by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to take the actions necessary to conclude client's visa application
• Failed to consult with client as to means by which objectives of representation were to be pursued
• Failed to respond to numerous client inquiries
• Completely ignored client attempts to contact her
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Barbara!)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Barbie by the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court.
