Attorney Joseph Makowski of Buffalo, NY; scamming perjurer

The state of New York presented Joseph Gerald Makowski with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the State University of New York Buffalo

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Joey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was sitting as an Erie County New York Supreme Court Justice.

• Tried to help a female attorney friend avoid a DUI charge by submitting an affidavit in her case that conflicted with witness accounts
• Subsequently, the attorney friend pled guilty to DUI and tampering with evidence
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on the lawyer's fitness as a lawyer
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
• Engaged in illegal conduct that adversely reflects on the lawyer's honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Joey!)
• Filed a false affidavit [perjury] intending to mislead trial court

Because Judicial Misfits in New York are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Joey was never criminally charged or prosecuted for perjury

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Joey practices his so-called brand of law at 448 Delaware Avenue in Buffalo, New York.
