Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner
For all intents and purposes, Rush is the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of Bullshitters.
During the airing of his comedy show on May 29, Rush gloated about a report regarding the financial difficulties that the New York Times is experiencing. He gleefully attributed the Times’ problems with a loss of advertising revenue. He went on to claim the losses were caused by the Times’ liberal bias in reporting the news.
The Doper then went about comparing his alleged success in retaining advertisers against that of the Times by spewing forth the following bullshit.
The actual number of advertisers that fled Rush’s comedy show after he called Sandra Fluke a slut and a prostitute was 103. Members of the liberal elite would cheerfully call Rush a damn liar. However, to be fair to Rush he did get one of the digits (3) correct.
According to TV by the numbers (ca. March 2012), CNN’s average weekday primetime viewership was 395,000. Again, Rush was able to get one of the digits (3) correct.
It may well be that Rush was confused after ingesting a tad to much Oxycontin prior to airing his Comedy Show on May 29, 2012.
Congrats Newt; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most respected Bullshitters; you are far too humble.
