Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA): Today’s “Lying Dimwit” Award Winner

Clyde duped the voters in the Hall and Forsyth counties area into electing him to represent them in the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2020.

To further his standing as one of America’s Premier Sycophantic Trump Ass-Kissers and Moronic Loons, Andy decided to join his fellow Trump Ass-Kissers in downplaying the rioting and insurrection that took place on January 6, 2021 at the Capitol. Towards that end, Andy the Ass-Kisser made the following asinine and false statements.

• “Let me clear: There was no insurrection.“
• “And to call it an insurrection, in my opinion, is a bold-faced lie.”

Clyde went on to defend those who stormed the Capitol building, saying video of the day’s violence looked to him like “a normal tourist visit.”

Oh yeah Andy, anyone viewing tapes of the riot could only conclude that it was a peaceful congregation of Super American Patriots who were merely there as visiting tourists.

In truth Andy, it kind of reminds me of my experience as a tourist when I visited Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio with my three daughters and some of their friends. I wondered aloud why most of the tourists were carrying baseball bats, bear spray and spears. Then it finally dawned on me Andy, it was because of the long lines to get a ride on one of the Roller Coasters, which as you can imagine is quite aggravating.
