  • Lisa took stolen merchandise from her home to a neighbor's shortly after her arrest with the intent of secreting the merchandise in
  • case the police searched her home
  • Lisa induced the neighbor to store the items in her garage on the pretext that she had an argument with her boyfriend
  • Lisa returned to the neighbor's home on May 12 to retrieve the stolen merchandise due to her concern that the police might search the neighbor's home for the stolen property with the intent to remove the items to avoid being charged with a felony if the police found the stolen items
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Michigan Supreme Court punished Lisa by issuing a disbarment order in 2002. However, in 2020, the comedians sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court voted to reinstate Lisa the Serial Thief’s law license.

Apparently, the Justices on the Michigan Supreme Court determined that Lisa had a constitutional right under the U.S. and Michigan Constitutions to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

As we speak (ca. September 2021), Lisa practices her so-called brand of law with at 564 Maloney Avenue in Oxford, Michigan.
