Attorney George Sallaway of Fayetteville, NY; ethical goblin

The state of New York provided George Henry Sallaway with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the University of Iowa School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the 4th Judicial Department found Matty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Intentionally prejudiced or damaged client during course of representation
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Illegally shared fees with a non-lawyer
  • Aided another in the unauthorized practice of law
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished George by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2021), George practices his brand of law in Fayetteville, New York.
