Attorney Leslie Tolliver of St. Louis, MO; ethical ogre

The state of Missouri presented Leslie T. Tolliver with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law.

The Disciplinary Board found Leslie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to maintain proper client trust accounts for each client
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to deposit into a client trust account legal fees and expenses that were paid in advance, to be withdrawn by Leslie only as fees are earned or expenses incurred
  • Failed to promptly notify client or third person of receipt of funds owing to said person or persons
  • Failed to maintain complete records of client trust accounts shall be maintained and preserved for a period of at least six years
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license and assessed $1,500 in costs.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Leslie practices his so-called brand of law at 1221 Locust Street in St. Louis, Missouri.
