Attorney Justin Morgan of Lexington, KY; deadbeat Daddy, serial offender

The state of Kentucky presented Justin with a law license in 2013 after she graduated from the University of Florida School of Law.

The Kentucky Bar Association found Justin guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Justin’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to perform legal services on client’s behalf
• Advertised for offering expungement services through a limited liability corporation, which was not a viable entity

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Justin by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

Justin’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Found in contempt of court for failing to pay annual bar dues
• Failed to comply with mandatory continuing legal education requirements

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Justin by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

Justin’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Found in contempt for failing to pay child support

Justin’s 4^th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to abide by a client's decisions concerning the objectives of representation
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Upon termination, failed to take steps to protect client’s interests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Justin by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.
