Attorney Peter J. Craig of Pittsford, NY; thief

The state of New York provided Peter J. Craig with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Georgetown University Law School.

The 4th Judicial Department found Peter guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaging in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit and/or misrepresentation
  2. Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on his fitness to practice law
  3. Misappropriated (stole) client funds
  4. Commingled client funds with his personal funds
  5. Failed to maintain client funds in a separate account
  6. Made cash withdrawals from a special account without naming the payee
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits and Thieves sitting on the 4th Judicial Department punished Peter by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Because Attorney Misfits in New York are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Peter was never criminally charged with stealing money from his clients.

As we speak (ca. May 2012) Peter continues to practice law in the Pittsford, New York area.
