The state of Florida provided Howard Michael Scheinberg with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School.
In 2011 the Florida Bar filed misconduct charges against regarding his affair with former judge Ana Gardiner. For more info on Judge Ana Gardner visit the URL listed at the end of this article.
At the time Judge Gardner was on the bench, Howie was a homicide prosecutor for Palm Beach County. While Howie was prosecut ing a death-penalty case before Judge Gardiner, he exhcanged 949 phone calls and 461 text messages with Ana.
The Florida Bar found Howie guilty of:
The Florida Bar referee Sheree Davis Cunningham recommended to the Florida Supreme Court that Howie’s law license be suspended for one year.
Because the Florida Supreme Court is mostly made up of apologists for Attorney Misfits it’s more likely than not that they’ll decide to punish Howie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand or censure.
As we speak (ca. May 2012) Howie practics law with the Law Offices of Howard Scheinberg located at 7350 NW 5th Street in Plantation, Florida.
