The state of Oregon provided James C. Hilborn with a law license in 1977.
 
The Oregon Disciplinary Board found Jimmy guilty of misconduct on at least two occasions as set forth below.
 
Jimmy’s 1st Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  1. Failing to adequately communicate with clients
  2. Failing to provide competent representation (moron)
  3. Made misrepresentations (lied) to clients about the status of their cases
  4. Failed to respond to the Board’s inquiries
As a consequence of his 1st bite at the Misfit Tree, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a 60-day suspension of his law license.
 
Jimmy’s 2nd Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  1. Failing to explain legal matters to client so as to permit the client to make informed decisions about his representation
  2. Engaged in representing several clients with glaring conflicts of interest at the same time
  3. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  4. Failed to keep a client reasonably informed about the status of his legal matter
As a consequence of Jimmy’s 2nd bite at the Misfit Tree, the supporters of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a 30-day suspension of his law license.
 
I suppose if Jimmy decides to visit the Misfit Tree a third time, the comedians sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court will punish him by providing him with a 30-day, all paid vacation for him and his family to Tahiti.
 
As we speak (ca. May 2012) Jimmy practices law at 161 NW Adams Avenue in Hillsboro, Oregon.
