Judge Terrence Scott of Columbus, OH; shoplifter elevated to judge

The state of Ohio presented Terrence Scott with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from Capitol University School of Law in Columbus, Ohio.

FYI: Capitol University School of Law is ranked as the 161^st best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

Even though Terry is a shoplifter and convict, Judge Kim Browne, Administrative judge of the Franklin County Juvenile Court in Columbus, Ohio exhibited her incompetence and arrogance in appointing Terry the Shoplifter as a Magistrate judge for the Franklin County Juvenile Court.

Juvenile court magistrates are empowered to handle many of the same duties as judges, including conducting trials, hearings and status conferences on motions and complaints. Some of their decisions must be adopted by a judge.

The court's administrative judge, Kim A. Browne, said Scott was the top-scoring of five applicants who interviewed for the job. She called him "an exceptionally qualified candidate with more than a decade of impressive legal experience."

In appointing Terry the Shoplifter, Judge Browne had the chutzpah to tell Columbus Dispatch reporter John Futty that he was the top-scorer of five applicants and she called him "an exceptionally qualified candidate with more than a decade of impressive legal experience."

The only thing that is exceptional about Terry is his ability to print his own UPC barcodes for the purpose of lowering prices on items he was in the process of purchasing and thereby reduce his cost from $367.21 to $27.35 .

I wonder how long Terry will be on the job before he decides to steal a few office items like a computer, pens, copy paper and coffee to supplement his income.
