Attorney Eugenie H. Moody of New York City; slacker, Dufus

 
The state of New York presented Eugenie Hart Moody with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from New York University Law School (NYU).
 
In late 2011, the Departmental Disciplinary Committee for the 1st Judicial Department found Eugenie guilty of the following misconduct involving at least 10 clients (victims).
  1. Failed to return property belong to clients after being fired
  2. Failed to return files to clients and/or new counsel
  3. Conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  4. Engaged in a pattern of neglecting client legal matters
  5. Lied to immigration judge
  6. Failed to inform numerous immigration clients as to the dismissal of their claims within the 30-day time period within which to faile an appeal with the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
  7. Refused to cooperate with the disciplinary committee
  8. Repeatedly faiedl to notify clients regarding court hearing dates
  9. Failed to file a motion to reopen an immigration case
After ruling that Misconduct was serious and unacceptable, the fanciers of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Committee for the 1st Judicial Department punished Eugenie by gifting him with a six-month suspension of his law license.
 
As we speak (ca. May 2012) Eugenie practices law at 291 Broadway in New York City.
