Attorney Christopher Sevick of Ann Arbor, MI; ethical troll

The state of Michigan presented Christopher Allyn Sevick with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from Western Michigan University Thomas Cooley School of Law.

FYI: Cooley is ranked as the worst or one of the worst law schools in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools. Proof of such a ranking is the fact that Donald Trump’s former attorney and fixer was none other than convicted felon Michael Cohen.

The Washtenaw County Hearing Panel #3 found Chris guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Knowingly failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Chris!)
  • Mishandled his IOLTA trust account
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Wrote check/checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Failed to provide full/fair explanation of cause of rubber check and how it was corrected to the ethics administrator upon request (Up yours, said Chris!)
  • Failed to safeguard client funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $2,018.50.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Chris practices his brand of law with Sevick Law at 2045 Hogback Road in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
