Attorney Chris J. Trebatoski of Milwaukee; convict, serial liar

The state of Wisconsin presented Chris J. Trebatoski with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR) found Chris guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

On his return from a casino, Chris claimed he encountered a burglar in his home.

During its investigation, the police learned that several unsuccessful attempts had been made at the casino to obtain cash using Chris’s credit/ATM cards. Chris told the police that he hadn’t made the attempts himself resulting in an investigation of possible cloning of the credit cards.

Chris was busted as degenerate liar when the police reviewed a surveillance camera tape from the casino. The tape proved that it was Chris who made each attempted cash withdrawal. Despite this fact, Chris signed six false affidavits (perjury) testifying that he hadn’t made any of the credit card/ATM transactions.

After being busted by the police, Chris pleaded no contest [guilty] to once criminal count of obstructing a police officer.

Because Attorney Misfits in Wisconsin are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Chris was never criminally charged for committing perjury on six (6) separate occasions.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the admirers of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Lying Chris by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2012) Pinocchio Chris practices his special brand of law with Weiss Berzowski Bracy LLP at 700 North Water Street in Milwaukee.

On its website at the Weiss Berzowski Bracy law firm makes absolutely no mention of the fact that Chris, a partner in the firm is a convicted liar. I suppose if they so acted it might limit their future victim pool.
