Attorney Martin E. Eades of Geneva, NY; chiseler, loser

The state of New York presented Martin E. Eades with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Georgetown University.

The Grievance Committee of the 7th Judicial District found Martin guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  2. Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on his fitness to practice law
  3. Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him (slacker)
  4. Failed to maintain client funds in separate account
  5. Refused to promptly return unearned fees to client (chiseler)
  6. Failed to maintain a proper accounting of all funds belonging to clients
Subsequently the Appellate Division of the 4th Department confirmed the findings of the Grievance Committee as to Martin’s guilt. In its report, the Appellate Division stated that Martin “has an extensive disciplinary history.”

After commenting on Martin’s “extensive” disciplinary record, the unabashed supporters of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division of the 4th Department punished Martin by gifting him with a six-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2012) Martin practices law at 50 Milton Street in Geneva, New York.
